Last night I shot the bulk of a video project for one of my classes, which involved a whole ton of green screen. The whole experience went pretty well, and I've actually already been awarded an oscar for "Best direction of a picture that involves a dude in a comically cheap looking gorilla costume". Don't ask me to see it, because I've already pawned it. I've got a pretty bad action figure habit. Also, I'd like to eat food that's not on "Value Menu" someday.
Tangent; You know what? Capitalism kind of sucks. "But, Man of Infirmity!" you say, "How can you say that? I've always dreamed of a life where if I work hard enough, I can save up my pennies, and one day open up that hang gliding school I've always wanted to!" Sure, that is a nice thought, but ultimately the whole thing gets taken advantage of, and "Hang gliding school" suddenly becomes "Army of diamond encrusted Hummers" (and that's only PART of it). I guess what I'm getting at, is the question "Does everyone really need to own EVERYTHING in the world?"
I may not know much about the news, but it seems like every time I turn it on lately, there's some suit on there talking about either a) "It's not fair that I may not get this MILLION dollar bonus, even though I want it", or b) "I used to have a million dollar salary position, now I deliver pizzas for a living." First off, suits, I thought the point of having billions of dollars is that you can "let your money do the work for you"? "But Man of Infirmity, the stock market's all busted up, and I don't want to put my pennies in the bank." Ok fine, fair enough, shame on me. But, ok, really? You've got a MILLION DOLLARS, and you can't stretch that budget, even a little? I'm pretty sure I've managed to get this far with a string of random odd jobs, and one that didn't pay me even a quarter of what it was worth, let alone billions of dollars.
Basically what I'm getting at is, Suits; Stop taking all the "lowly" jobs and crying about it, because now jerks like me can't find anything steady.
